FCA GOLF DAY A BIG HIT!
The 15th annual Eastern Iowa FCA Golf Scramble was held on Monday, September 10 at the Amana Colonies Golf Club on a near-perfect 75-degree day. There was some great golf played on the breathtaking Amana layout, along with some wonderful fellowship as four teams qualified for the FCA State Event at Otter Creek Golf in Ankeny on October 4 (the four winning teams are pictured). FCA Board Chairman Jim Anderson said, “It was a sensational day of golf and we are so thankful to everyone who took part!” The day concluded with food and drinks at the Awards Program (in the Presentation Barn overlooking the lake), along with raffle and prizes and plaques for the winning teams. FCA Area Director Carl Gonder said, “A big thanks to Stephen Kahler and Amana Golf for their professionalism in hosting a first-class event. The Lord really blessed the day with great weather and a great turnout!” The annual FCA Golf Scramble is a fundraiser that contributes to the FCA Camp Scholarship Fund. This past summer, over $15,000 was allocated to bless young people in our area. Thanks to everyone who took part!
